Our Statement of Faith

1. We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God

  • All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 2 Timothy 3:16

2. We believe in one God revealed in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit

  • Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost [Spirit], Matthew 28:19
  • One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all..., Ephesians 4:5-6
  • In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God, John 1:1 and, the Word [Jesus] was made flesh, John 1:14
  • But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, … thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God, Acts 5:3-4

3. We believe in the divinity of our Lord Jesus, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His atoning death, His bodily resurrection and ascension to the right Hand of the Father, and His upcoming return in power and glory as Lord of lords and the King of kings

  • For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder:and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace, Isaiah 9:6
  • Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us, Matthew 1:23
  • It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us, Romans 8:34
  • ... Lord Jesus Christ: ... the King of kings, and Lord of lords, 1 Timothy 6:14-15

4. We believe that the fall of man and his lost inheritance requires being born again through a personal confession of and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ

  • Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned, Romans 5:12
  • Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God, John 3:3
  • That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved, Romans 10:9
  • Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 1 Peter 1:3

5. We believe in the reconciliation of mankind through the death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ

  • Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again, John 3:7
  • Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God, 2 Corinthians 5:20
  • For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life, Romans 5:10
  • He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life, 1 John 5:12

6. We believe in the Baptism in the Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues as proof of the confirmation of the Spirit according to Acts 2:4

  • But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth, Acts 1:8
  • And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues, Mark 16:17
  • And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied, Acts 19:6

7. We believe in the supernatural present ministry of the Holy Spirit as described in 1 Corinthians 12:7-11 and in the book of Acts, until the return of the Lord

  • Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come, John 16:13
  • For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you, Matthew 10:20
  • Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant ... Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will, 1 Corinthians 12:1-11
  • He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches, Revelation 3:6

8. We believe that the Lord's Supper is a reminder of the reign of Jesus, and water baptism as our confirmation of our conversion to Christ

  • And as they did eat, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and brake it, and gave to them, and said, Take, eat: this is my body. And he took the cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them: and they all drank of it. And he said unto them, This is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many, Mark 14:22-24
  • For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread: And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me, 1 Corinthians 11:23-25

9. We believe in the resurrection of believers to eternal life in heaven and unbelievers to eternal punishment in hell

  • Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life, John 5:24
  • My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand, John 10:27-28
  • For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17
  • And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire, Revelation 20:15

10. We believe that all born-again believers, regardless of denominational affiliation, have been commissioned to share the Gospel to all the world

  • And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover, Mark 16:15-18
  • Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen, Matthew 28:19-20

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Matthew 28:19-20
