Hindrance to Reconciliation

➤ by Pastor Andy Fulson

Satan’s successful deception of Adam and Eve came by suggesting an alternative of God’s command. Yet God had a plan to restore His original intention of fellowshipping with mankind and making Satan’s strategy powerless.

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly, John 10:10

What is limiting the success of your pursuits? Could it be sickness, famine, stress, superstition, or doubt ... used by your enemy to harass you? (Jn 10:10)

Deliverance from such things is achieved through Jesus by being born-again (Jn 3:7) including the empowerment of the Holy Ghost (Acts 1:8).

All of God's promises are “Yea and Amen” in Christ and remain unchanged: For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us. Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God; who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts, 2 Corinthians 1:20-22.

  • Accepting Jesus Christ brings the replacement of our old spirit through the Holy Ghost (2 Cor 5:17).
  • All of God’s promises are available to anyone who is “born again” (Jn 3:3), and is only received by faith (2 Pet 1:4).
  • Everyone reconciled to God has the same Holy Spirit as Jesus Christ (Gal 4:6).

It is vitally important to heed the warning against disregarding God’s grace, leading to reconciliation: For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast, Ephesians 2:8-9.

Resist being deceived. Pursue the reconciliation granted to you and the promise of eternal life:
Resist the devil, and he will flee from you, James 4:7.

Put yourself in remembrance that what God has promised. He does not change.

Closing Thought

Your turning to Jesus Christ brings you into God’s presence. Be mindful therefore: … give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall, 2 Peter 1:10.

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Matthew 28:19-20
